The 16th Middle East Women Leaders Excellence Awards Declared

 

With global women leaders and delegations from around the world, Dubai saw the hosting of the annual 19th Global Women Leaders’ Conference on March 8th and 9th , at the Burj Al Arab Hotel. On the second day of the Conference, the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute, recognizing and honoring notable achievements of global women leaders, conducted the 16th Middle East Women Leaders Excellence Awards Ceremony.  

 

The objectives of the 12 Awards, presented at the ceremony, were to highlight and honor women leadership and celebrate their achievements, experience, and creativity in leading institutions. The Awards are specifically formulated to applaud the path-breaking leaders in various fields of government and business organizations for their outstanding contribution towards the development of regional competitiveness. Mr. Ali Al Kamali, Managing Director, Datamatix, announced the award winners at the award ceremony attended by women leaders and decision makers form international organizations and global governments, and the Awards were presented by Ms. Anna Dolidze, Deputy Minister for Defense, Republic of Georgia.

 

Ms. Naiima G. Ismail, Senior Chief of Schools, Ministry of Education, Bahrain, won the ‘Woman Leader in Education Development Excellence Award’; Ms. Aisha Jassim Al-Kuwari, Chairman of the Qatar Voluntary Centre, won the ‘Woman Leader in Community Services Excellence Award’; Ms. Heba AlSamt, Digital Media Director at Dubai Channels Network (DCN), won the ‘Woman Leader in Corporate Media and Communications Excellence Award’; Ms. Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General of Dubai Land Department, won the ‘Women Leader in Corporate Management Excellence Award’; Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Board Member of FBMA for Women Sports UAE, and Head of Scientific/Education Committee ICSW Abu Dhabi, won the ‘Woman Leader in Sports Excellence Award’; Eng. Alya AbdelRahim Al Harmodi, Director of Environment, Health & Safety Control Sector, Dubai Municipality, won the ‘Woman Leader in Architecture Excellence Award’; Ms. Rasha Al Dhanhani, Chairperson of PappaRoti, Owner and Founder of Brandnoise Creative Agency and Al Rasha Investments, won the ‘Woman Leader in Business and Economic Development Excellence Award’; Dr. Karima Mattar Rashid Al Mazroui, Associate Professor , College of Education, UAE, won the ‘Woman Leader in Education Development Excellence Award’; Ms. Ebtihal Al Salem, Labs and  Quality  Manager, Kuwati Flour Mills and Bakeries Co., won the ‘Women Leader in Food Industry Excellence Award’; Ms. Zeina Yazigi, Journalist and TV show host, Sky news Arabia, won the ‘Women Leader in Media Excellence Award’; Ms. Asma Omran Al Khayal , Sharjah Police General Directorate, won the ‘Woman Leader in ICT Development Excellence Award’; and Dr. Sara Saleh Alkhmshy,  Princess Nourah Bint Abdul Rahman University, Saudi Arabia, won the ‘Women Leader in innovation and Knowledge Management Development Excellence Award’.

 

This annual Conference and Awards are considered to be one of the most sought after platforms where global and regional women leaders, decision makers, senior executives and strategists effectively engage in sharing and discussing the best practices, with the focus of creating more women leaders across the world.
