The award was presented to Shaikh Diab bin Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on behalf of Sheikha Salama, by Dr. Hanif Hassan, Minister of Health in a special ceremony for the 10th Middle East Women Leaders Awards which coincided with the International Women’s Day.

The award pays tribute to the remarkable acumen of the winner her overall excellence, achievements, and innovative leadership. The award recognizes the impact of her contribution to her community and humanitarian work and, in the process, highlights the important role that women like leaders like Sheikha Salama play in today’s organizations and how they inspire a new generation of women for further social, intellectual, and cultural achievements.

Sheikh Abdulaziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman Ajman Tourism Development Department, on behalf of Sheikha Fatima, by Mary Robinson Former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, in a special ceremony for the Middle East Women Leaders Awards, which coincided with the International Women’s Day, which is essentially an endorsement of the great support of Sheikha Fatima towards women development. Sheikha Amina bint Al Tayer Wins Woman Personality of the Year-2007

Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Women's Association, has been awarded the Woman Personality of the Year.

The award was presented to H.E. Amina Al Daboos, on behalf of Sheikha Amina, by Mervat Tallawy, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN-ESCWA) in a special ceremony for the Middle East Women Leaders Awards which coincided with the International Women’s Day. which is essentially an endorsement of the great support of Sheikha Amina towards community and women development over the years, the award pays tribute to the remarkable support Sheikha Amina have presented over the past years.

H.E Dr Raja Al Gurg, Chairperson and Managing Director of Al Gurg Group (ESAG), has been awarded the Woman Personality of the Year, the award was presented by H.E Laura Liswood, Secretary General, Council of Women World Leaders and H.E. Dr. AlKhazraji the former Deputy Minister of Labor in the UAE and the Director General of the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia), in a special ceremony for the Middle East Women Leaders Awards which coincided with the International Women’s Day.

The awards are essentially an endorsement of the great support of H.E Dr Raja Al Gurg, towards the women leaders and businesswomen empowerment and women leadership development over the years.

Phan Thị Kim Phúc OOnt (Vietnamese Pronunciation, born April 1963, referred to informally as the Girl In The Picture and the Napalm Girl, is a South Vietnamese-Born Canadian woman best known as the nine-year-old child depicted in the Pulitzer Prize winning photograph, titled "The Terror of War", taken at Trảng Bàng during the Vietnam War on June 8, 1972. The image, taken for the Associated Press by a 21-year-old Vietnamese-American photographer named Nick Ut, shows her at nine years of age running naked on a road after being severely burned on her back by a South Vietnamese napalm attack.
